Medical Aid

Illness, accidents, and pain are part of the human condition. Our bodies are normally strong, yet we are vulnerable to sickness, disease and the occasional broken bone. Our minds respond best when we are well, and for children, this is particularly true. So TMT is well aware that in serving the educational needs of India's underprivileged children, we have to provide them with medical assistance. It is self-evident. Further, the families of these children required basic health services and treatment for chronic ailments, too. Most children cannot focus on their studies if they are worried and anxious about a sick loved one at home. In responding to this predicament, TMT initiated a two-pronged approach by establishing outdoor clinics and providing the funding for medical treatment through a network of public and private hospitals. Within our program there are special projects that address specific conditions. In some of these we treat in association with other organizations. It is for all of these reasons that we address this area of philanthropy as a necessary component of TMT's Mission. Health care assistance was extended by TMT to more than 131,000 patients during 2011-12 a majority of the poverty level patients were treated at HIZA out door Hospital in Lucknow. TMT-referred patients have been offered lower rates of costs due to our cooperative partnership with network of hospital like Era’s Hospital in Lucknow Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Science, King George Medical University and Balampur Hospital in Lucknow. Out of these majority of the poverty afflicted patients were treated at the ERA’s Hospital.

In year 2011-12 TMT been able to contribute humbly in the field of medical and health care services by providing solace to 10 number of poor patients of cancer, 35 of cardiac, 22 of Kidney and 530 of TB were treated under this program over and above about 350 patents were treated daily at our OPD clinic at HIZA Hospital, Lucknow and 250 patents per month were assisted directly by TMT.
