> UEP functions on the concept of providing free education to under-privileged children.
> The aid includes school fee, uniforms, stationery, transport and medical facilities.
> Launched in 1999 with just 11 students, the program now provides cost free schooling to about 3200 students in 25 private schools in eight different districts of Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and West Bengal.
> Schools and students are put through an evaluation process by the UEP team twice a year.
> Meritorious students are selected and admitted in Unity College, Lucknow and M.U. College, Aligarh every year.
> Workshops for personality development are conducted round the year.
> Teachers’ training program is also undertaken to bring about changes in the teaching and learning process.
> Parents are also addressed through regular workshops to make them more responsible towards the educational requisites of their wards.
> Transportation and medical facilities are provided to UEP students.
> Educational trips and excursions for students to help them broaden their environment.
